[Remote] Strategic Account Manager

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GM Financial is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors, focusing on vehicle sales and customer loyalty. The Strategic Account Manager will manage dealer relationships, drive sales, and support GM Financial initiatives while participating in a developmental program to prepare for an Account Manager role.ResponsibilitiesWork on a team of 3-6 SAMs, you will have exposure to job shadows, role plays, credit underwriting, and assessments to prepare you for the consultative sales field assignmentTravel frequently throughout this program to develop strong personal networks of business professionals within GM Financial and the automotive industryBe exposed to other aspects of Dealer Services, Credit, and GM Protection, and may provide coverage in a variety of capacitiesProfessionally represent the brand and demonstrate our captive value propositionManage dealer relationships to drive sales and engagement with GM FinancialSupport and market all programs, systems, incentives, and rewardsLearn our credit underwriting process and assist credit centers in decisioning loans and leases, which will include weekendsAct as a liaison between the dealer and the Credit Center, Funding, Commercial Lending, and other functional areas to resolve issues by partnering with subject matter expertsAnalyze dealer-specific data using reporting tools and take appropriate actionIdentify and resolve dealer issues presenting excessive risk to GM Financial such as portfolio issues, fraud, and dealer agreement violationsPresent information to senior level managers within GM Financial and GM dealershipsPromote a culture of teamwork, excellence, inclusion, and integritySkillsLeadership experience in the classroom, community or workplace; formal management experience is not requiredMust have strong interpersonal and people skillsMust possess the ability to make consistent quality decisions independentlyAbility to meet deadlines consistently and prioritize effectivelyAbility to overcome rejection and setbacksExcellent communication skills including verbal, written and presentationLong-term mobility is beneficial for career development and advancement within the sales organization at GM FinancialCurrent valid state issued driver's licenseBachelor's Degree strongly preferred, or extensive relevant experience1-2 years of successful sales or prior credit underwriting experience preferredBenefits401K matchingBonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid)Tuition assistanceTrainingGM employee auto discountCommunity service payNine company holidaysCompany OverviewGM Financial is the captive finance company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of General Motors Company.
